The Chief Counsel of the CFR has deemed that vendors & manufacturers are permitted to host grant writing workshops geared toward their products provided they do not offer to write the grants for free. This includes information about AFG and all federal, state and private grants.
Knowledge is power, and power means money.
Hosting a workshop not only benefits your customers and your sales representatives, it ultimately increases your bottom line. In the space of 8 hours or less, you can send out a group of your clients armed with the information and opportunities needed to get the funding they need to buy your products.
Our workshops are flexible and there are a variety of options to meet your needs. Whether you want to have a full day workshop, set up a mini-tradeshow with our grant expert on hand while your sales representatives provide product demos, or if you want to provide a half-day training session for your sales team, we can work within your budget to ensure you get the most out of this exciting opportunity!
3 Basic Workshop Outlines to Build From:
Customer Training: Invite your customers to an event geared toward helping them acquire the knowledge and skills they need to write their own grants. VCS will provide advertising flyers, handouts, VCS business cards, brochures, and a giveaway prize during the presentation. Show your customers that you want to help them be successful, and give your sales team a chance to meet face to face with some of their customers. You could also use this time to perform product demos, hand out company literature, or whatever helps you set the stage to sell your product.
Sales Representative Training: Host a workshop to teach your sales representatives and managers about the ins and outs of the grant writing process. Learn about best practices for creating price quotes and what is considered to be a more concentrated, high scoring project. Familiarize your team with rules and regulations, recent changes in legislation and scoring systems, common pitfalls to avoid and more.
Client Meeting: Let your sales representative take a Vickers Senior Consultant into the field to meet with their clients, review their specific needs, and discuss the grant opportunities available to them; or bring multiple departments together to discuss the possibility of writing a grant narrative that aids the community on a regional level.
Workshop dates will be finalized on a first come first served basis with a signed contract. For more information, please contact us at info@vickersconsultingservices.com or call us directly at: 866-5-GRANTS
